But then the last month or so has generated several events that have helped drag down prices:
- The hurricane season fizzled so no threat to refineries as in the last couple.
- Cold fronts dropped temperatures, less electricity for A/Cs
- Forecasts for a mild winter in the Northeast US
- Relative peace in the Middle East, so less of a threat to crude oil supplies.
I realize conspiracy theories are popular and that there are a lot of people who want to demonize the Republicans, but these facts just do not support any of them.
