The story of recently resigned Republican Congressman Mark Foley took yet another interesting turn this afternoon as his attorney announced that Foley had been sexually molested as a teenager by a member of the clergy.
Foley was raised Roman Catholic. Though the statement issued today does not identify the denomination of the clergyman alleged to have abused Foley. Foley's attorney also confirmed that Foley has checked into rehab and that he is now out as a gay man. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...100300111.html

Oh poor darling, you were mollested. I have thin scars on my neck and wrists from the fishing line they tied me down with. I don't go around trying to seduce little children, you pathetic excuse for a man. Nothing makes me angrier than what you've done, and nothing rubs salt to the wound like a ****ing coward who hides behind being drunk and being mollested. Get a ****ing life (behind bars), you sack of ****.

Sounds like Foley feels sorry for himself. Being molested is no excuse for molesting. Not everyone who's been molested goes out and molests others. Some people put a stop to the abuse.

It seems to me that he used this a tactic to play the victim. Everyone pity him, 'cause apparently, he couldn't rise above what may have happened to him to become a better person.

I don't really support the death penalty, I think it's not man's place to judge others to that degree. But when it comes to children, crimes such as these... corruption like this...
Hmmm...In 1995, UN peacekeepers "accidentally" released a Bosnian Roman Catholic man who ran the rape camp in Ahmici village on the outskirts of that town. His body had to be collected from the street in pieces. It was absolute madness. The thing I remember most was a clip in the news of this young woman, covered in blood - splatters on her face, her hands red, smears on her clothes, crying and smiling while talking into a cell phone. They make me feel like that. I just want them punished, severely, men like Foley.

Djamila, I'm not sure if I'd group the actions of Foley with the person who ran the rape camp.
