![]() Besides, we've already had terrorists blow things up in Atlanta -- but they were all homegrown terrorists. I can't imagine why international terrorists would find any targets here. The CDC is the only thing of any national importance, and there are far more obvious targets than that. Somehow I don't think the Coca Cola museum would be an alluring target. ![]() My best friend was nearly blown up by an IRA bomb in the Tower many years ago (gosh, was that in '72 or '74 or something like that?) but I've never given a second thought to touring anywhere in the UK. I remember when the recent bombings hit London, thinking, "oh sheesh, King's Cross station -- yeah, that really odd lift would not be a nice place to be, no wonder they picked that stop." ![]() Honestly, I think too many people get their knickers in a twist too easily over this stuff. At this point, I'm more angry with politicians using terrorism to scare people into voting for them, all the while being completely incompetent and irrational about real security measures, than I am an angry at actual terrorists. We are very short of sense here, and I do wonder who flushed the good sense down the Chesapeake River... |

I listened to a bimbo talk show host spin the report yesterday. By the time he got through, you would have thought the report praised Bush's policies. Be was so full of BS that my radio turned brown.

![]() I heard a few similar things coming out of my teevee yesterday. I was merciful to myself and turned off the teevee and got caught up on RF instead. It seemed like the sensible thing to do. |
