This is exactly right, Sunstone.

As I said, I've hired day laborers, and they get paid under the table.

But I've worked and shopped in the neighborhoods with illegal immigrants, and there are a LOT more people in those neighborhoods than there are hanging about Circle K and Home Depot in the morning.

The poultry business in NE Georgia depends heavily on illegal immigrants. To the tune of about 70% of their employees. All of those people are using fake SSNs and paying income and payroll tax.

But they ain't getting any of the benefits coming back to them.
