That's not what I'm talking about. I have heard of a few cases where it was the BSA itself that turned it into a political arena by basically spying on these troop leaders, and after finding out that they were gay (when it was never mentioned to anyone in the BSA, including any of the kids), they were fired.
If it's intent is not to cause a political fiasco, then maybe it should rethink it's position quickly.

No doubt about me wanting it to "rethink" it's position. However, I would like to see more details of these "alleged" cases... they are just heresay to me right now.

Yeah I know, I was raising a question that causes people to make the distinction that pedophilia is wrong but homosexuality is ok. Gays and some liberals will then in turn look at ultra conservatives and criticize them for finding homosexuality to be immoral.

Now, I don't care if someone is gay. I don't care if they marry. What I question is whether its right to criticize the boy scouts for their policy regarding gay members. They're only exercising their right to declare homosexuality immoral just as gays will declare pedophilia immoral.

I'm saying that your bringing up pedophiles in conjunction with a thread having to do with allowing homosexuals in Boy Scouts is patently ridiculous.

And your tragic effort to link homosexuals with pedophiles is patently ridiculous because it's patently *obvious* that pedophiles would present a danger to the boys, while it's not at all obvious that homosexuals would.

If you wish to equate the two, that's up to you, but don't expect me to play along with it, because the idea is demonstrably silly on its face.

Well, see what your missing is that the point is that if they didn't use public funds at all, then they could declare whatever they please as immoral. However, they do use public funds, so they don't really have that right.

Pedophilia is harmful because one party is not capable of consenting or fully understanding the situation. Homosexuality does not share these negative aspects.

I'm not trying to say homosexuality is equivilant to pedophilia...I find pedophilia to disgusting much more so than homosexuality.

What I am saying is that some people find homosexuality to be immoral...and I'm not sure that they should be criticized for taking that position.
