http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/new...hp?story=10368 This is just another example of how out of touch and just plain stupid that people in the government can be. I know that this is another example of actions to try getting their base motivated for elections. But I just don’t see how making dumb choices on something that I figure wouldn’t be a big issue would help him get reelected. On another note it annoys me that this seems at least partially to be a result of the whole Hot Coffee controversy. I still think that the ESRB and Rockstar were not at fault in the whole Hot Coffee situation.

I am not familiar with this particular situation . I withhold comment on it as a result...
I am familiar with the main complaint of your artical . The fact that the government of what once was a free county has lost contact with the people and for the most part with the reality of life within its borders. The House of Representatives is only one example. This situation extends to the White House and frankly to the town halls in many places also. It is sad and at times exasperating to deal with people who do not take the time to understand. It is even more sad and frustrating to know that those we pay and were elected on our behalf are just as diconnected. The solution is not easy. It required a complete change of leadership. Leaders must be elected from the people , by the people and for the people. Three criteria many have sadly forgotten. Be Well and God Bless You...

It must be an election year...
Heaven forbid anyone actually try to tackle some serious problems in this country. But I guess you don't get any nice soundbites out of that sort of thing. |
