Your opinion is noted but not worth a whole lot considering how ridiculous it is. Seemed important considering the current climate but you are right and I do not often post here and never check the age of the threads...

Probably tacky is apt but then again perhaps their opinions have changed over time?

I remember arguing with Revolt over "You didn't build that" and how silly his interpretation and stance against that was since it was obviously a mis-understanding but went on to be shocked when the RNC was basically all about this statement... Obviously Mitt has become a nationwide disaster and I am looking forward to the "Zinger Training" he will throw at Obama this wednesday but still... benefit of doubt.

I commented very early on, on this subject. Personally I felt as though he gave in way too easy but now we find ourselves almost two years later and it's obvious to me that they saw something written on the wall we took for granted. Now we approach a fiscal cliff and congress (on both sides) seem exactly at the same point they were at two years ago with no clear solutions. It's no wonder we Americans don't trust them to do the job we sent them there to do.

I too can't wait for the debates this week. I'm not impressed with Mitt at all and it seems he was the best of the worst the republicans had to offer. He's a moderate that they're trying to mold into a conservative and the plans he has for us are horrible and backward. Zingers won't help him as he really isn't good at it, it will make him appear immature to seriousness of the nation's situation. Hopefully we will get an understanding of his "plan". I've seen and read the one at his website and if that's what he's going to be using then we are going to see a huge step in the wrong direction for this country.

Personally I find the constant reporting of him using "zingers" to be a nothing more than a smoke screen. I don't think that's what he'll be doing. It's just misinformation to try and throw the President's game plan off. Unfortunately for him Obama will stick to the issues. This supposed issue that Obama can't run on his record is a lie. The problem Mitt has is he can't run on his. He can't tout Romneycare because the (right) don't want him because it is the model and almost exactly like Obamacare (ACA).

He can't run as a businessman because of his tax scandal and the fact that he is the one who's invested in overseas companies (i.e. China). I find this notion that a businessman can run this country laughable. Proponents of such a notion fail to realize congress is full of businessmen and many of them have failed at running this country. We've actually had presidents who were businessmen in this country during tough economic times and they were horrible. George H. Bush started (Zapata Petrolium - Penzoil) and couldn't bring us out of a financial slump. So this idea of a businessman being president is weak.
