Red Lightsabers are reserved solely for the Sith. Red is the color of the Darkside. I guess it would symbolize hatred, blood, and death.

if i was a TRUE jedi (u know, with force powers, a lightsaber, etc.) i would probably be a consular with a silver double-bladed lightsaber. Many crystals can be utilized for a lightsaber, besides the obvious ones, like yellow, blue, green, purple, silver, red, orange, etc.

this is facinating...

the only bit i've picked up about jediism over the years was about the British census having to add "Jedi" as an option under the question that covers religious affiliation, as the Jedi tradition had / has grown to have signifigant numbers in the population.
