Ok , I may be opening up a hornets nest here , but what is it about Atlantis ? I mean , even if it was all that some say , it got wiped out like everything else does in time ... ??? Am I missing something ? Or what ?

Probably an inhabited island or peninsula that was innundated by some great Natural disaster at some point, generating increasingly embelished legends over the generations.

Atlantis is the name I gave the little "city" in the bottom of my gold fish tank.

So whatever you name Atlantis someone will think it's the real one, like crop circles in farm country.

I saw a special on T.V. where some guy believed he found the submerged ruins of Atlantis in the Mediterranean Sea east of the island of Cypress.
