A good book that speaks of Tao is The Tao of Health Sex and Longevity. It is a good book and has really good exercises and ideas. The martial arts also use chi/The Force. Not so much with telekenesis and the like, but as an extra power that can be delivered at close range/on impact. If you know anyone who has practiced Kung Fu for a long time, ask them to hit you with a chi punch and notice how it feels, you can feel the energy through your whole body. It is much different than a regular punch. It sounds silly, but it is true.

I read that book a while ago. It was alright. But mostly it talked of chi, not tao. While chi is the direct creation of tao, it is not tao. A good book that speaks of tao is the Tao Te Ching. Written by the man himself. But you are right, chi can be very dangerous if used properly. In chi gung, it is also used to promote health and enlightenment. So it isn't just for martial arts usage.

Ouch, jewscout, Anakin, not Anikan. Sorry, but I started to twitch when I seen that, you better tread carefully or I will put you into Soultype's box with him. I was going to make a Star Wars quiz, but I doubt anyone here has read as many books as I (be quiet! I like to read, and I am not a freak!) have. I only have about 5 books to go before I am caught up with where the writers are at right now (fyi, which has spanned 30 years since Ep. IV).

*RARR* I used to look like Anakin when I was a kid. People actually asked me if I was Anakin.

Ummm... Isn't the plural of "Jedi", "Jedi"?
Angellous, they Jedi do not really believe they can make lightsabers, or that they have midichlorians, or any of that. They believe in the philosophy of the Jedi, and work towards the common good. However, if there are peple who follow the Jedi mindset, then there could be people following the Sith mindset!!! ![]() ![]()
