Something I need to know (myth, theist, worship, God)

Hey, new here. I just want to know something. I'm making up my own religion. I know how to somewhat, I just dont think Im doing it right.

Can anyone give me ideas, instructions or tips on this?

My religion is called Khonisism. The name of the god is Khonisis, it is influenced by the the ancient egyptian lunar god Khons. Khonisis is also a lunar god. This is a monotheistic religion btw. I dont want to tell you anymore, in fact I think I've told a little too much, but I had to so that I can get help on this.

We'll need more info to help. What's your pitch? Why should I buy the Khonisis brand? You are selling an idea. You need to create the perception of a need that only your idea can fill.

There is no "how-to". In doing something like this, it's going to take time and effort, but it can be done, I'm doing it. Work with what you know, what you believe; if you aren't sure about that, then figure out what you DON"T believe. Knowing what you don't believe can be a great help in finding out what you do believe in. Work from there, work with what feels natural and what feels right to you.

For 500 points and the bonus question, can we figure out the answer? The lunar myth in a monotheistic context indicates worship of an immortal Daughter-mortal Son of God, of which Isis-Osiris was an example (Isis' perpetual cycle of descent to rescue the dead Osiris and restore him to life). I found one reference to Khon as a "shadow play" of puppets, which brings to mind the illusion of man-made reality vs a real "inner" self. But Khonsu is a version of Cronus, "Master of Time," the reaper whom nothing escapes.

To begin a good religion, you need a sound mythology and a sound basis for your mythology. You can think of the purpose of the myth as a reminder; every time you read it, you will know what the God means to you.

Honestly I cant really say much cause this is still personal for me still. I will say this though, being rid of all materialistic items plays a major role in "Khonisism"

Do something nice with sex.

Figure out a way to make money on it.
