You were doing great until you used the term "fundies". I would suggest that it sounds suspiciously like a judgemental term to me.
I agree with some of what you said. God does judge, and he is able since he is perfect, and we shouldn't since we are completely imperfect. Most of those who claim to be Christian don't know how to forgive or even how to love. I am still working on both. Jesus would have made a lousy hippy. As a former hippy I can tell you he was FAR TOO INTENSE about spiritual concepts.

"Fundamentalists" is just as judgemental. Have I used it? Unfortunately, yes. But it's a misnomer at best, and they are better characterized as "extremists" instead. In any respect, pigeon holing any group of people is pre-judging them. We call it profiling now.
God is spirit and is niether male or female. Your gender hang up is showing. I would love to know how you know whether God judges or not. My guess is that you are also guessing. Hippies were never intense. Yippies were, but few people know about them.

Not only was that very well put, Indigo Child, but expresses my own feelings about Christianity almost completely.
This is exactly what I mean when people ask me how there can be no true path.
