my own faith is, as for Godlike, a very personal religion developing as it is now through faith, seeking, and personal revelation.

my main devotion is to the prayer which i recite a number of times a day, not unlike how Muslims are oblijed to pray five times daily. i seek to remain mindful of God and of my devotion through out the day.

some of the books to which i most often turn for guidance are "the imitation of christ", "no greater love", and "the teachings of the buddha". i cover my head (most of the time) as an outward aspect of devotion, and refrain from meat and alcohol.

'cause animals are lovely things, and because whenever i get drunk, i wind up looking like a fool trying to sing "lodi".

Greetings Taegun. The diversity of religions expressed in your thread is amazing. Isn't it great that we have such freedom. In noting the above purpose in this thread, you have already exhibited unusual freedom yourself, from encumbrances.

So many different ideas may be difficult to choose from, so let me offer a new approach that does not involve choice from among them and may surprise you - become and be your own religion. Draw on all religions, and all, for your own enlightenment, just as the religious founders offered. Enlightenment here is defined in such terms as the realization of our identity with the source of all being, realizing oneness with the ground of being or with God. IF you have enough interest, energy, and time, this breakthrough is potential that may not be as distant as it seems with all the resources at our finger tips now - as never before. Since you requested laws, for pursuit of this my offering would be one point of guidance: act in oneness with all. Also, you may find this book interesting, Essential Spirituality by Roger Walsh. My religion is Godfaceism. In fact, I'm the leader of my own religion, or the Grand Personface, in Godfaceist terms. It's both a religious experiment to see how many people will listen, and a bit of my own ideas about God. There's only one other Godfaceist, and she helped me out with creating it.

Godfaceists believe that people should find their own answers to life and the universe, and that people are free to roam about religions as they please. We do provide a bit of a religion, though some of it's a bit more humor than actual religion. But anyone is free to change religions and still be a Godfaceist. For example, I lead the Church and I'm a Satanist.

The religion I follow is unnamed at the moment but it was sparked one day after my drama teacher and I had a conversation about ghosts (they're people who haven't gone to heaven or hell cuz they don't know they're dead)
I thought about christianity and kinda 'altered' it a bit to my liking.
my religion is kinda like christianity+evolution+karma
The beliefs of my religion are:

• The goddess's name is Kegran (derived from 'que gran' in spanish, which translates roughly to 'great one')
• She created the earth and all that exists on it but it took a long time (unlike the 7 days it took christianity)
• There are 2 places you could go when you die- the upper afterlife plane with all humans or the lower afterlife plane which contains all animals that passed away (and humans who chose to go there) or if you can't choose you'll remain a spirit in the mortal plane until you make a choice
• There is no hell because Kegran punishes you during your mortal life (sicknesses, injuries, etc.) (kinda like karma)
• The reason dinosaurs don't exist is because they were too much trouble when they were here
• Humans started out primitive but evolved over time
• The reason I picked a female deity is because females are the ones who create life anyway
• I started making holidays and they contain celebrating mostly things other than Kegran (only one holiday is about Her)
