I am tending a flame for Imbolc in dedication to Brigid. Does anyone else have something special they like to do on Imbolc?
My kids & I are weaving Bridgid's crosses. A few years ago when we lived out in the country we would burn our Christmas tree on Imbolc and have a smudging ceremony. Right now we're living in a townhouse with a dinky back yard & no fireplace, so we can't get away with that.

Happy belated Imbolc!

I haven't been able to do anything lately. Imbolc has never been one of the holidays I pay a lot of attention to, though in the past I have placed Beech leaves in a bowl of water as a kind of offering/invocation to the Muses.

I have celebrated neo-pagan Sabbats for some time, around three years, but usually only with friends, though I've started observing them even when I can't celebrate with my pagan friends. I went through my usual purification rituals (I love ritual), then prayed a Brighid rosary, reflecting on her as maid for the first ring, mother for the second, crone for the third, then consecrated milk and cookies and invited her to commune with me as I consumed the offering. It was very peaceful, and it was so delightful to offer up COOKIES! (Okay, I guess I'm weird....)
