Does anyone here celebrate Mabon (or I believe it is also the Autumn Equinox, correct me if I'm wrong)? If so, what do you do? What's your favorite part about it?

Not until it gets colder out. The weather's been finicky here.
Technically I don't celebrate the 8 sabbats like most Neo-Pagans and Wiccans, and this seasonal holiday for me is more like an all weekend apple-picking, nature walking and cooking/baking extravaganza.

i'm so out of phase at the moment in the packing to go to uni this weekend that i haven't thought about Mabon... i will celebrate it somehow, though probably on the saturday night instead of the friday night, and probably with drinking and merry making with the friends i haven't seen since the end of term 3 months ago.

You know, the Sabbats have that way of sneaking up on me, I know they're coming but it's usually: "Oh it's a few weeks from now" until it's the next day. I'll do something for it, I don't know what though, most of my Sabbat celebrations are done on the fly anyway.

I will be celebrating Mabon tomorrow. Housecleaning was done today to prepare, as well as baking an apple-spice cake. I will dig out my autumn decorations and redecorate with them tomorrow. That, in itself, is part of the celebration. I plan on taking Jamie for a nice walk to enjoy the beautiful day in the afternoon. After which I will come home to prepare my dinner feast. I will say a prayer and blessing over the meal before we eat. Perhaps even a walk in the evening to enjoy the first cool autumn evening of the year.

Fall is my favorite time of year! I always find some way to celebrate, and it's always different.

I will be celebrating it on the 23rd this year. I've got some other preparations to finish so perhaps for once I'll be on time.
This is time of year I get to looking for my door's autumn wreath, fix it up, add to it, give it a brand new polish and hang it on the door till winter. I've got plenty of work to do to fix it. I'm not sure if I'm going to get a new base or just add some natural features to it. lol I've got to dig it out of storage. I know I put it somewhere. Perhaps that's got some seasonal meaning somewhere....well maybe not. I love Mabon, Fall Equinox, whatever you want to call it for the shear reason that it's an excuse to celebrate my favorite season of the year. I love the bright hues of green, yellow and orange. I love the crisp cool dew filled mornings. I love the cool wind that brings out the kites for the last fly of the season. Oh, the sent of wet leaves in the morning, the heavy perfume of mushrooms, and a hit of sea breezes. It's my season....a sweet reprive from summer.

The Equinox is very important, I mentally prepare for the darker days and colder nights ahead. i pray I will get through the winter without contracting some horrible virus.
