What is drawing down the moon?

It's a very beautiful ritual in which the High Priestess invokes the Goddess (or Triple Goddess, representing the phases of the moon), into herself. She essentially functions as the Goddess incarnate.

During this ritual, many of the women of the Coven connect with the power of the Goddess, which then connects them more fully to the power within themselves.

Here's a helpful site explaining it. I'm sure different people see it in different ways, but to me it's a ritual wherein someone takes on the attributes/ persona/ mannerisms of a goddess.

Sorry I didn't go further into that Becky. I give a brief description of what to do ( at least for a solitary, and some do it differently), but I didn't quite explain it did I?

I guess, simply put, it is basically drawing energy from the full moon into you. We generally believe that the moon has quite the effect on us. As it controls the tides, it affects us as well. We consider it to be at full peak energy while it is full. We "pull" off that. Some also connect the Goddess with the moon as it is the general symbol for Her and envision drawing Her into ourselves.

Perhaps someone else may explain this better or have a different look upon it. But I hope this helps.
