Hmm... I'm not sure if I would count them among them or not. I suppose it depends on if one if talking about a physical familiar (of which I'm not terribly... *sneaky look to avoid the pun police* familiar) or the spiritual type. The spiritual type, I'd think, could be considered either a part of the realm, or the greater group that Kreeden mentions.

Do you know what kind of person would have a familiar (physical or spiritual)? According to Wikipedia, familiars are generally associated with witchcraft. I'd say that it definately could be, but I don't necessarily think that's true enough for a general assumption.

I might be presuming a bit too much, but I think that 'spirit guides' might be a bit more akin to the information that you're searching for. Does that sound at all right?

Hmm... I'm not sure what I mean. How about I create a thread on guardian spirits and another on familiars, and then we'll all be able to share what we know!

That and the rest of what you said is pretty much the way I believe it to be ES . Although I do have a friend who seems to believe each id quite different . She doesn't seem to be able to explain the differences though .... Perhaps that does matter either ? As long as it works for her .

It has been my experience that physical things , like size , does not appear to mean much to the Spiritual . And I am begining to believe that shape doesn't neither . Not much . For me , I have found that " animal Spirits " can take on humaniod form at times . At times , very Fae-like . Which is why I tend not to name them as Fae , Animal or whatever . Well , I do to a degree ... Name them for what they remind me of ....

Anyway , I was wondering if that was just me or not .

The way I understand it is that we are all part of a spirit group. Not just one soul mate, but several. Some of these will be incarnate at the same time as you, and some will be incarnate, and guiding you spiritually. Either way, these spirits in your soul group are directly influenced by your enlightenment, or your fall. When I call on these guides for help through a situation, or for understanding. I will ask for all spirits who are directly affected by my situation and who will benefit from my growth.

Then I have to keep my eyes open for the answer to my prayer. The answer might come from a family member or a friend, or a complete stranger. The answer might come from an animal, or a vision, or a dream. The answer might come through the next song I hear or in a line of a movie.

When I posted my last response, I thought I was in the Faerie Magick thread. That was my bad. Luckily, the subject kind of matched the topic. But I realize now that we are not talking about magick, but more about where and if Faeries exist, and why. I feel that if some one wants to be a faerie, there is a 'heaven' for that. I believe God gave us free will, and it is not limited to this material world, or to this one lifetime. I believe that some will choose to be born again, but I believe some choose to manifest (or not) into other beings. My friend had a 6 year old that was killed by being kicked in the head by her horse. It was a terrible day at the stables. (we borded our horses at the same place). After Brittney died, my friend had this butterfly that would not leave her alone. It would land on her when she was in her yard, even just to go to her car. And it would be there again at the stables. She truly believed that it was Brittney, and so do I. It's one of those things you would have to experience to truly understand.
