Summer Solstice!
Happy Summer Solstice everyone!
 (well, except those of you in the southern hemisphere.  Happy Winter Solstice to you there!)It's the official beginning of summer, the longest day of the year (and shortest night). The time when the sun (and Yang) is at its peak. This summer solstice is especially special because it falls on the full moon! So everyone, take a cue from the sun and take some time today to stop (solstice means "sun stands still" in Latin) and reflect on the year so far - we're half way thru! How well have you been holding up to your new year resolutions that you made at Yule? What would you like to let go of? What would you like to reaffirm? And hey, paaaaarrteeee!

Happy Solstice. I don't really have any holidays myself, but might as well enjoy day of happiness, even if it isn't my own.

I'm really excited that I get the day to myself, with no commitments, now I can do something special.
As one thing I'm doing, I'm cleaning my room - neatness and cleanliness make for good workings and serenity! Anyone got any specific ideas of what I should do? I was expecting to only be able to grab maybe fifteen minutes for myself...but I have a whole day!

Huh - I mentioned recently Stonehenge (not far away from here) - I heard today on the news that someone (?) has decided that it was designed for the celabration of winter solstice !

Try fixing your favorite meal, or have someone do it for you. Or you could read a good book, or just go out and enjoy the outside. I hope those were good ideas.

Blessed Litha everyone!
I started celebrating at Sunrise this morning by doing a small ritual and reaffirming my vows to the Lord and Lady. This evening, I will be having a picnic in my backyard, followed by a Balefire, honoring the full strength of the God.
