I'm going through Nine Mile Canyon tomorrow. Has anybody been through it before. It looks really cool and has some facinating Native American history.

I just got back from the drive - it was pretty sweet. Make sure you get a guide book if you go out there though. Nothing is marked.

One big disappointment about the trip - they've recently opened the area up and are drilling for Natural Gas there. We probably had 20 or 30 semi trucks pass us while we were on the dirt road. Kinda screws up the trip "back in history." It kind of frustrates me that the government will allow them to do this. Funny thing is - the company doing the drilling was

yeah, they want to turn a major fossil site into a bombing area too.
Sadly our historic places and our sacred places are just becoming places to make a quick buck. Still the photos are awesome, looks like a wonderful place, I'm jellous.. ![]() wa:do
