Yes, another name for the Wyrd is another name for Urda, one of the three Norns in Norse myths. Urda is the goddess of the past.
They are linked to one of three wells in the Norse mythology, near the roots of World Tree, Yggdrasil. This particular well is known as Urdarbrunnr, or the Well of Urda or Well of Wyrd (or Weird), and it is the most holy of wells. See Norns and Norse Creation from Timeless Myths.
