I have been around in awhile but I don`t quite understand this mythology forum.
Who is to say what is a myth and what isn`t? From my perspective this entire forum is a mythology forum if you get where I`m coming from.

Yes, I get what you're saying. For now, we're just started sub-forums the "classical" mythologies, and we've defined mythology as "is the study of myths: stories of a particular culture that it believes to be true and that feature a specific religious or belief system" which could and does include every belief system. However there were topics and beliefs that people were wanting to discuss that didn't fit in anywhere else, thus we made this forum to allow a place for that. It will expand.

your definition of what "mythology" represents is excellent Maize, probably the best one I've heard yet. Most folks think myths are just fables, stories about gods and heroes that certain people made up for entertainment, without ever trying to understand those people and why they held their stories sacred. These stories formed the very essence of their religious practice and theology. It is no different from say, believing in the myths of the Bible or Quran. It's just that every "culture" and region of the world was different, and understood the Universe differently

Well, to be fair, it's not my definition, but I do like it. I think I got it from Wikipedia.org.
