Default To Honor All Religions

This is a really good article I really think all can benefit from
Here is just one paragraph from the article. Please click on the link and
read the rest.

And this applies not only to different interpretations within a particular tradition but across traditions, as well—which is why the great 13th-century Sufi shaykh Ibn `Arabi warned:
Beware lest you restrict yourself to a particular tenet [concerning the Reality] and so deny any other tenet [equally reflecting Him], for you would forfeit much good, indeed you would forfeit the true knowledge of what is [the Reality]. Therefore, be completely and utterly receptive to all doctrinal forms, for God Most High is too All-embracing and Great to be confined within one creed rather than another.

Religion conceals the mystical from those who don't know, and reveals the mystical to those who do.

How do you feel?

I'm not much into haveing such an open mind that my brain falls out. I have to keep some sort of base upon which I judge every doctrine. What I am open to, is the testing of each doctrine to see if truth resides within.

I feel fine.
The road is long and the view is different for each. It is the same road and yet it crosses many countries, citys and towns. It is the road less traveled.

There are many good articles at the site mentioned worth perusing. These folks appear to be Ken Wilber-esque in accepting that the pinnacle of spiritual journeying is non-dual awareness, which I used to accept as well. I'm no longer so sure. Jorge Ferrer, for instance, makes the interesting point that the Divine may not ultimately have but 1 expression in an interesting piece he entitled "One Ocean, Many Shores:"

http://web2.airmail.net/dsh440/wars.htm

The non-dual is an important spiritual realization but perhaps may exist alongside theistic mysticism as described by this contemporary Christian mystic:

http://www.shalomplace.com/res/xianenli.html

So I no longer believe in a "universal mysticism," but do still believe some truth in the old adage about all mystics speak the same language in the sense that a crucial element in the path whether theistic or non-theistic/non-dual is "putting self/ego in its place." have a good one, earl

Friends,
Feelings are still dualistic.
Non-dual is where all religions are leading to.
Feeling means the mind is showing taking certain positions and mind is both the key and barrier to enlightenment as all religions are pointing towards.
Love & rgds
