Led Zeppelin rocked over the weekend!!! (heaven)

Ahh... but the question is... how do I know? I was sitting here at home while Led Zeppelin was going full blast on the opposite end of the world!!

I also know (however, don't understand) that there were empty seats!!!! (What were they thinking? "Oh, you know, the traffic's so bad I don't think I can be bothered sitting through that to go to Led Zep's possible last ever concert). AND that for some reason the bobble-head we know as Paris Hilton got FRONT ROW SEATS!!! O.o Who knew she liked getting the Led out?

But that's besides the point. How did I get to hear the entire show? Thank you to the "mysterious benefactor" at Radio Hauraki! SOMEHOW, I don't know how, I don't really care how, but somehow he managed to get a bootleg recording of the entire show and ship it to NZ in time for the weekly "Led before bed"!!!!

I didn't know Jason Bonham could sing!!!

My love for Zep remains the same. (Tell me you picked up on that!!!! *shakes fist*)

But yeah, crappy recording, but I daresay the very first recording ANYONE heard that wasn't there! So it's crappyness doesn't matter. Apparantly we're getting a much cleaner one soon so fingers crossed for a re-run in time for Xmas!

Having seen Led Zeppelin twice in the past and Robert Plant (with Phil Collins on drums) once, I can only "oohh and ahhh" at the thought of this wonderful concert.

Out of all the shows I have seen, and I have seen most of the old bands, Led Zeppelin was definitely the loudest, although Pink Floyd was a very close second. I remember the second time I saw them, the show started with "Rock and Roll" and the pace did not slow up for over three hours. My ears rang for three days after that.

One amusing bit that people don't understand, unless they have seen them live, is that on the sumptuous "Stairway to Heaven", each delicate note at the beginning is like a thunderclap and as the music plays it spirals around the arena. Simply stunning. (Kashmir featured the spiralling quality as well.) Wow.

Ok, I'll see if I can dig up a link somewhere from the Hauraki website, Random.. I doubt it's on there though - they'll be keeping it strapped to their chests I suppose... Although having said that I'm sure a few people dubbed it onto a few tapes.

All I can hope for is a Zeppelin world tour! *fingers crossed* I'll meet ya in Sydney if they come this way k?

I saw Led Zepplin in concert when John Botham was still alive. Their last tour in the states had lasers and back then that was really something. I bought my first Led Zepplin album in 1969.
