Oh my........you think you're old school Azakel? I was into LL Cool J, Eazy-E, Afrika Bambaata, Kool Moe D, Grandmaster Flash, and the ever incomparable Run DMC.
Once Beastie Boys came out with "Licensed to Ill" I became a huge fan. My favorite album, though, from them has got to be - hands down - "Paul's Boutique." It mastered the art of sampling and mixing tracks before the industry was tainted by Vanilla Ice and his poor excuse for explaining how his sound isn't "Under Pressure." And then before Dr. Dre went solo, he was part of N.W.A........easily, easily, EASILY the hardest hitting gangsta rap I've heard even to this day. Nobody comes close to them except for Eazy-E, and it's only because he was a prominent member of the group. Now I have to continually deal with Ice Cube going hollywood after N.W.A. *sigh* So, a favorite of mine? I'll go ahead and post one of Beastie Boys as a go-to here. How about "Intergalactic"?
