As a Christian movie buff, I must admit that most Christian movies suck. However, the few totally awesome ones include the following:

Quo Vadis (1951)
Ben Hur (1959)
To End All Wars (2001)
Luther (2003)
Sin City (2005)

Okay, so Sin City isn't a Christian movie, but it's still awesome.

Collateral was kinda deep in a near religous sense. It has a really deep conversation between the two main characters played by Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. Sorta of "what is the meaning of life" type of conversations. Cruise is an assassin and at points during the movie Foxx, who plays a cab driver and his hostage is asking him why he kills people. It is an interesting conversation that the writer wrote. They never talk about God but alot about life and death.

It won a few awards listed on the homepage but the inner meaning made i really deep for me. A young Jewish student studying to be a rabbi and goes to town at the advice of his rabbi to get the sexual urge out of him. He meets an atheist prostitute from Russia and falls for her. The movie has aspects of the Jewish and Muslim community in it and atheistic charcters in the plot in the form of Mike (who owns a bar) and Sasha the prostitute. I wish I kmew how to articutate the concepts but each one sees the prespective of the others. Just has neat undertones about religion. The movie is set in Jerusalem. The director, Eitan Gorlin was once a bartender in Jerusalem called "Mike's place." He is also born Jewish.

If you click on "about the director I found it very interesting.
I'll vote for "What Dreams May Come" (Robin Williams) as the best "life after death" movie, and Oh, God! John Denver, George Burns) as the best comic movie about faith, religion and God.

I'll second WHAT DREAMS MAY COME. Excellent life-after-death movie.

DOGMA has incredible value as both a comedy and a serious comentary on organized religion.

EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE is a horrifying true story. It made me so uncomfortable, I almost wanted to be Christian just so the demons wouldn't get me! I downloaded the real Emily Rose exorcism tape off the internet and its was so creepy. Really messed up stuff.

THE BLACK ROBE was another good one, although its been years since I've seen it. I do recall it was very good religious movie.

Lucky for me (or maybe it's unlucky) I was with my wife when I saw that movie. When Natalie was in the private booth with Clive Owen and she ....... must...stop...typing......!!!!!!
