Simply brilliant! My husband and I went to see it this past weekend, and the hubbie was enthralled with it. I was touched by how emotional my husband became from learning more about the Dalai Lama's history and his light-hearted and genuine personality. For anyone who is somewhat interested in him or in an overview of Tibetan Buddhist's struggle and of our tenets, go see this film!
Steve and I left the theatre half-beaming with joy and half-shredded from the plight of the Tibetan people. And yet, His Holiness remained throughout the interview in the documentary his usual impish self with his playful smile. ![]() The website has the trailer for the movie, too: http://www.thedalailamamovie.com/ Peace, Mystic |

There's another good film about his life from when he was born, but for the life of me I can't recall the name of it. I had to rent it twice because the first time the dvd failed about 15 mins from the end! He came to our town last week FYI. I've seen him on TV a few times and I really don't know how to take him. He has a strange way about him, but I don't know if that's just the way he speaks English, I mean, he appears to be a little, um, "not with it" at times. I like his laugh.
