What should be made into a film? (moral, mystic, moral)

What do you think should be made into a film?

I would say His Dark Materials trilogy, but they're making that, unless they're just doing the first one :/ (which I doubt) I hope it comes out good.

Well, it was always said that Lord of the Rings couldn't ever be made into a movie, and Peter Jackson found a way to make it into one spectacular trilogy.

So, now I'm putting out the challenge for the next Hobbit-like man (like Jackson is) to see if they can put The Silmarillion onto the big screen.

That's my big vote.

Then someone ought to put all the chronicles of Elric into a film version!

That is Michael Moorcock's site and forum and the most awesome thing about it is that he participates all the time. I've actually had conversations with him on the forum before. It's really awesome. I know that it seemed for the longest time that my brother and I were the only ones who knew about Elric of Melnibone and his sword Stormbringer. I went through many times in my adolescence having a minor crush on Elric because he's just so.......I dunno...........sexy.

He's such the atypical crush, too. A frail albino with major moral issues with his destiny certainly doesn't scream Brad Pitt or anything, but I think that's why I totally fell for him. LOL

Plus, it's one heck of a story line.

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one...lol. I wouldn't say my crush was minor though. I think my husband still wonders if he would win if it was between him and Elric...lol. (Of course he would, you can't have a guy like Elric anyway). I do have plans though. My entire back will be the canvas upon which some great tattoo artist will someday make my love for Elric permanent.

I would love to see a movie of The Sandman with character and animation concepts from Yoshitaka Amano. That would be amazing.
