I keep hearing a controversy about whether Batman represents Obama, & Bane is Romney.
I say hogwash! Bane is Obama. He demonizes the rich, he wants to destroy Gotham with increased governmental power he personally wields, he's a minority
(handicapped), he keeps his education secret, & he ruins commerce.
Batman is Romney. He is filthy stinking obscenely rich (most of the time), he likes his privacy, & his magic underwear corresponds to Batman's utility belt.

Ron Paul is one of the inmates at Arkham....a bit player who just gets to run around when the doors are opened.
