Whew! This is an English thingy! You just got me scared thinking - Oh my God - is tomorrow Mother's Day and I forgot?

If it involves the mumsy darlings - it sounds like a lovely tradition. Your mum must be a sweet lady because of the kind soul you turned out to be.

Well, I don't know about that, but I do know that I miss her terribly (she died in '93) - I can't help but think of her; she was a great Lady.

Hehe; better early than late!

We received a card from our older son a couple of days ago (which is a first from him - he just never seems to be "with it" - he is always so busy doing "his own thing" - but none from James (who never forgets). I managed to talk to him on Skype toady - and he did send one.

I was so hoping he would be able to make Sunday lunch (I am taking my wife and her mother out for lunch tomorrow, and I booked a table for four) - but he has an important exam on Monday in London and he told me today that he really can't make it; poor chap is a bit concerned - if he doesn't pass this time, he is out of a job.
