interesting news. i red about it today. one thing i don't understand. what's so special about finding liquid? finding water would be great but methane and ethane? .

Water is required for life here because it's available in all 3 phases (solid, liquid, gas). It's theorized that it's quite possible for live to come about on Titan that uses liquid hydrocarbons like we use water. That's why it's so exciting.

not only that but Titan has hydrocarbons! its possible there is life down there!
...and OIL! i say we fly to Titan and get the oil before the Chinese beat us to it! ![]()

I doubt there is oil, oil is the remains of vast quantities of life, there weren't the signs of much life on Titan.
