We live with noise pollution everyday. The hum of civilization, the buzz of street lights, the roar of cars, talking, banging, clanging, clashing; contrast that to the wild, the hum of life and the buzz of bees. Are there studies done about what it has done to our physiology?
What do you suppose it's done to animals, like dolphins, who depend upon sound for vision? What messages are our passing ocean liners and penetrating radio signals sending to them?

Killing them on occasion, if you go by one hypothesis for reason why whales beach themselves: disorientation due to sonar.

A little off the topic, but light pollution is an issue for some plants. For example, maple trees are sensitive to artificial lights, like from street lamps, and it does toss their schedules off somewhat.

I imagine it has also messed with other animals above water that rely on sonar, such as bats.
