Out of all the books you remember reading in your childhood/adolescence, which ones were your favorite? Why? I absolutely loved the His Dark Materials trilogy, because of its risky concepts (such as the idea of actually portraying God and angels as bad entities) and it's originality. The trilogy further sparked my interest in theology. ![]()

If I had to pick a book that I specifically associate with adolescence, it would probably be Franny and Zooey, by J.D. Salinger. One of the most deeply spiritual novels that I've ever read.

I used to love reading.....I still do, but I don't have the time.
I had favorite picture books as a child, but I can't remember them now, but I still enjoy picture books(I'm going to be a preschool teacher, so I get to read them all the time). I used to read R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, Sweet Valley Twins, Babysitters Club, the Boxcar Children, Little House on the Prarie..to name a few. |

Yeah!! I like Dr. Seuss! Cat in a Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop, One Fish Two Red Fish Blue Fish, and probably the veryfirst book I remember reading And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street. I read all the time when I was a kid, but as I've gotten older, I find it more difficult to get into a book unless the subject is interesting.
