Default Woo Hoo! We Have Our Prez Candidate!

Gary Johnson, former Republican governor of NM, comes out of the closet to run for prez on the Libertarian ticket.
He seems somewhat normal...for one of us, that is. Thoughts, fellow minarchists?

He was one I actually liked in the Republican party. Jon Huntsman wasn't bad either.

If Johnson had won the Republican ticket, I probably would've voted for him.

Obviously, he's not crazy enough for the establishment.

I prefer to think he's too crazy for them.

Voting for him will be a waste of time imo. Now days it would be next to impossible for someone to win that is not part of either the republican or democrat party.

I do like Gary Johnson tho

Pro-choice
Supports same sex marriage
End War on Drugs
Marijuana legalization

And then I can jive with his stances on immigration, foreign policy, and mega-huge tax reform that is conducive with personal and business freedom.

I'm almost speechless. Johnson is waaaayyyyy better than Bob Barr. And he has a track record as NM governor.

Yeah, it's an issue we all wrestle with.
Unless something make an otherwise choice compelling, I'll vote for him.

I still want Ron Paul a lot more, but Gary seems fit for the job, I'll support him.

But I want to know, how much chance does Gary have of making it out of the primaries successfully?

If he is running as part of the libertarian party he does not need to get out of the primaries. Obviously his chances of winning are really low if he is not either a republican or a democrat.
