I'm sure many of you have heard of the Canaanite or Phoenician religion.
So I was wondering what you think of it having any connection with the LHP. To me it is very obvious and is actually pretty revealing about some other major religions. I've heard the God of death Mot be called Yahweh, and it is even said that the early bible suggests polytheism instead of monotheism. But it gets a bit confusing, since Baal is the God of fertility, storms and war, but the Abrahamic God was adopted from the God Mot, and was turned into their God of what was essentially war, since the early Yahweh was involved in what was essentially the war of "Gods", since he was the God of the early Hebrews who were at the time fending for themselves. I do see it as kind of another religion of conspiracy, but I think it is pretty interesting considering how old it really is. The Egyptian God Set was also designed in comparison to Baal, the king of storms, and Seth from the tale of Adam and Eve is described as planting seeds in his father Adam, which is reflective upon the union between Baal and Asherah (the mother Goddess). Lucifer perhaps, in the biblical and maybe even in the Roman version, may have been built off of El Elyion, which literally translates into "God Most High". So, what do you think?

I think it's interesting that their good god Osiris was death and darkness and the villainised god Set was light.

The Canaanite god Baal and the Egyptian Set both gods of war and storms were identified with one another, so much so that the Setian King Rameses II a.k.a. Setnakt= "Set is Mighty" had a temple to Baal erected in the capital city of Tanis.

I'm curious what makes Ba'alism a left-hand religion, per se.
"Ba'al," as referred to in the Bible was merely a term given to a number of local deities of the ancient Caananites, much like Yahweh was the local deity of the Israelites. In an alternative history, we might speculate that had the Israelites not defeated the Caananites, that Yahweh might have been looked on as a sort of demon. |

Well Baal can be invoked as a demon as well as viewed as one of the Canaanite Gods.
There are multiple mythos on this Baal character, which makes me intrigued since my cousin and I performed a ritual to invoke these said demons unto ourselves. He received the the blessing of Baal and took his name under his wing, while received Orias. I see more of a personal connection here rather than what you guys may see, but I tend to see that the characteristics of this mythological Baal has been set into motion by a very real figure. And I guess an obvious reason as to what makes it LHP is that in Baalism they literally have orgies, not saying thats specific to the LHP, just that I have yet to find a person of the RHP ok with that. I don't really know enough about the religion to expound upon the reasons for it being LHP, but you guys did provide some aspects that I was unaware, and it would be greatly appreciated if we could get a couple members to explain simply to us, what it is. I am pretty intrigued with this concept and have just recently began to invoke it into my own spiritual practices. Any help would be great!

Another abscure link between Baal and Set can be found in Dr. Stephen Flowers' book Hermetic Magic. It lies in the word or name of power BOLCHOSET which is a combinational derivation of the words Baal Kha Set which translates to "Baal who strikes as Set".
I am quite fond of the Daemon Baalberith= "Lord of the Covenant". I've been considering using it as the name for my black metal project. Beelzebub is also one of the many variations on the name Baal. Xeper. /Adramelek\
