The story line was quick and brief, only touching upon well known events and statements by Joseph Smith.

It would be hard to follow if you hadn't read the history of Joseph Smith.

Here is a brief history: Joseph Smith—History 1

Just returned from a trip to UT, where we saw the film for the first time. The next day we did a session at the Manti temple. Then we toured the tabernacle in St. George and heard similar stories of struggle and sacrifice. Those early saints were devoted to their God and their religion beyond what any of us today are expected to demonstrate. The workmanship of the Manti temple is more than words can describe and yet the builders were poor and lacking modern tools. Talk about faith.

We hardly felt worthy to even walk inside.

I was sealed to my wife and son in the Manti Temple. We were sealed just off the Celestial Room. The artwork in the ordinance rooms is really impressive. Also the needlepoint tapestry is astounding. The sacrifice that it took to build this Temple and other early temples is truly amazing.
