Don't forget to watch this...
I know there is already a thread on this, but two threads will be a greater reminder so we don't forget to watch this. www.pbs.org/mormons This site will be interactive beginning April 30th. It should be interesting... Last edited by FFH; 04-27-2007 at 03:36 AM. |

I have resorted to a rubber band around my wrist and a note displayed against the VCR. I have a co worker who is also looking forward to this show.
I am also looking forward to the movie September Dawn (June 22nd) to see how they handle the subject material but most of all, after reading the book The Rocky Mountain Saints, I am looking forward to seeing how the actors portray Bringham Young and Joseph Smith. |

just kidding...I will be at work when it airs, and I know I'll forget to watch it later, that night, when they replay it the second time, like they usually do, so I'll probably also have to put a note on the VCR and record it... Quote:
Have you ever seen the movie Brigham Young ? It's a 1940's black and white, with a young Vincent Price playing Joseph Smith. Last edited by FFH; 04-27-2007 at 04:09 AM. |

If you need any assistance or you forget to record it, let me know. Quote:
No, I haven’t seen it yet but now I will keep my eyes open for it. I am almost finished with the book and the author really did a fine job of describing the “Lion Of The Lord.” I almost feel as if I know Bringham Young intimately. I have missionaries coming over next week and it seems that it has been a very “Mormon month” for me. I have been very excited about the PBS documentary ever since I heard about it and as much as love understanding nothing could be more fortunate than “timely understanding” and right now a lot of this knowledge seems to be appropriately placed before me. |

Just post something here so it pops up and reminds us all to watch it. I'll try and do the same, although I'll be at work when it first airs, but I have access to a computer and will probably turn on the streaming video and listen to at work. Quote:
Here's the link again: Brigham Young I haven't seen the documentary. Last edited by FFH; 04-27-2007 at 04:32 AM. |

Just looked at the "September Dawn" movie site.
My first impression is: anti-Mormon movie First clue: Rated R Second clue: Brigham Young blamed for the massacre Last edited by FFH; 04-27-2007 at 06:14 AM. |

Yes, go to this page on April 30th 8:00 pm Mountain Time and anyone around the world with a computer can watch it.
www.pbs.org/mormons You are 6 hours ahead of me (Mountain Time) and it airs at 8:00 pm (Mountain Time), so GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) would be 2:00 am... Correct me if I'm wrong... Okay, just checked it and actually you might be on BST (British Summer Time) which is an hour ahead of GMT so it should air at 2:00 am your time... So those living in London would have to click on the streaming video at www.pbs.org/mormons on May 1st and May 2nd at 3:00 am. The program is 4 hours, broken down into 2 hour programs each day... London May 1st 3:00 am t0 5:00 am May 2nd 3:00 am to 5:00 am Okay the times should be correct now. Last edited by FFH; 04-27-2007 at 06:12 AM. |
