Hi, DeepShadow.
When I went into the site, I stopped off first at the "about us" page, and read the following:

Hello, welcome to saintswithouthalos.com, a website devoted to the life and times of Joseph Smith from 1831 to 1839 (the Ohio/Missouri period).

In 1981 I was honored to have some part in the production of Saints Without Halos by Leonard Arrington and Davis Bitton (Signature Books). In 1999, as I began to develop a Mormon history website, I could think of no better name for an independent, scholarly site. With permission from Harriet Arrington, Davis Bitton, and Signature Books, I adopted the name and uploaded the book (links to chapters are designated by swh in parentheses).
The purpose of this site is to present the life and times of Joseph Smith as honestly as I can using commonly accepted historical methods.

This caught my eye because just yesterday I attended a lecture by Davis Bitton. It was on George Q. Cannon and the Apostates. It was part of the annual FAIR Conference. What a great conference!!! It was awesome!!!
Church history is my weakest area, so this site will give me some excellent information! Thanks a million.
