How much snow is there...lol? I've lived in southeast Georgia my whole life. I haven't got a clue about snow. Will I need chains for my tires? I also read somewhere that there are emissions tests for the car. Where do they do these tests? Will they cost me a lot of money? I'm thinking about just selling our cars and buying when we get up there. Honestly, I don't know the first thing about Washington (other than the fact that I haven't yet seen a picture that doesn't have Mt. Ranier in it...apparently it's so big you can't avoid it). You haven't been there for awhile, so you probably don't know much about the job market. Just anything you've got that a person moving 3000 miles away should know before they get there.

One thing to look forward to in Western Washington is the wild berry season. You'll have no trouble finding blackberries, marionberries and blueberries to pick fresh. The blackberries are particularly ubiquitous and oh so delicious. They are a feared weed, actually.

You won't get much snow in Ft. Lewis. That's near Tacoma at the South edge of Puget Sound. Most years you'll only have a few days with snow on the ground. Unless you plan on going over the mountains or skiing (the Cascades are about an hour and a half drive away) you won't have much snow trouble and won't need chains or studs probably.

Congrats on the Super-Duper-Dom!
![]() As for the question to which we all want the answer...in the world of Star Trek, they loaded all the lawyers in a rocket and shot it into the sun. Nothing personal, but Shakespeare said 'kill all the lawyers'. Now that you know it's going to happen, what steps will you take to stop it from happening?Thank you.
