Judi,

What television shows and movies do you like to watch? Which version of the Bible do you follow? When you day design to you drawl the designs too, and if so what have you working on that is the most recent?

I draw everything by hand...I'd lose the fun of it otherwise.

You'll laugh but I love to play in the dirt with their hot weels and make believe we are on a big race track. We make things with lincoln logs, and build things with loc-blocks. In the summer They are getting their first swimming lessons from me...I want to be sure they ALL know how to swim and since my fall I'm at my best in the water. I love doing home work with my oldest grandson and trust me the list could go on and on and on...they mean more to me than all the money in the world. I just spend all the time with them as I can when not on here...3 of them live under the same roof as me because my daughter will inherit this house so her husband and she added onto our house and now it's like the Waltons around here...and I LOVE IT!!!

No...granddaughters will not be happening unless God has a different idea...the kids say they are done reproducing...but you never knnow what God has in mind...LOL

Hi Rob... I like CSI,Survivor,Without a trace,Amazing Race,Criminal Minds,etc

I only use the King James Version

I'm actually doing nothing right at the present time. My husband wants me not to this year...you see I design it and he builds it. I have a deck design that isn't completed yet and he'd like to catch up with me while still working full time away from home all week...LOL A friend wants me to design her pond so I'm mulling that over but I'll probably end up doing it anyway. When I did ours it became sort of an attraction around here of sorts...last year we had to put up a fence around the front yard to solve that problem. It's no little pond It's 35' x 42' with a 20' waterfall that drops down from a 6'dia.holding pond up above that. We had a much smaller one but last year modified it dramatically.

Sounds like you're an incredible Grandmother! And I'm sure it's awesome to have your family under one roof.

My Mother in Law lives so far away. She really misses spending time with our girls.

Being a grandmother is so much different than being a mother was...I adored my kids and would protect them with the fury of a 'mad' person..but it's actually stronger yet with your grandkids...it's so incredible.

Living under one roof has it's pitfalls though so it's not always the best choice for most.

I bet one of the funnest things is spoiling them...and giving them back to their parents. I know that's the best thing about being a single uncle without children

No*s...sorry I missed your post here...Well all but one of them live under the same roof as me...that doesn't make it so easy to send them back home after spoiling them...their parents added onto our house when they got married so we are a 5 bedroom 3 bath household...sort of the new age Waltons...LOL

It's been good and bad in some senses cuz I KNOW you're gonna ask how's that workin'for me right??? There are days I regret it but for most days I don't. The house goes to my daughter when her dad and I are gone...being a military brat this is the first real home she has ever known (me too)..so it's going to work or we'll die trying...besides maybe when I'm old I won't have to be put in a nursing home (hehe). My son-in-law has his tiring moments but he's doing the best he can with the 2 men butting heads under one roof...when both of them are working away I gotta tell you it's smooth as clockwork but when they are home on weekends we have to keep making nice.

That's actually quite nice. Provided a family has humility and mutual respect, this I think, would actually be good. After all, that's similar to how it used to be done, and in modern western culture, the elderly get neglected, so it instills a deeper love and protection. Personally, I think your situation sounds beautiful and not at all strange, but rather, a semblance of normality in an increasingly abnormal culture .
