Origin of Life View - biogenisis, though yet to be "proven"

Political Spectrum - Very liberal in the broad spectrum of social issues, but fiscally responsible

Favorite proverb/verse/saying- There are too many sayings I like to list here. None of them are "favorite".

More About My Beliefs - Strongly believe there are no gods but protect, recognize and approve the faith of individuals. I believe religion, organized religion as opposed to faith, is one of the worst calamities to befall humanity.

Interests - understanding the Gay community, Constitutional Law including rights and freedoms and Gail (not that I regulate the love of my life to an "interest").

Biggest Pet peeve - hypocrisy

Besides Gail what do you see as your primary reason to get up every morning...OH besides keeping us all in line...LOL AND are you really as gruff as you tend to want everyone to believe...I find you rather sweet and the teddy bear type...if I'm wrong tell me why?

Although I sign on RF as soon as I get up, I get up at that terribly early hour (7:30 AM) to prepare for a day supporting the program people at Equality Virginia in winning justice for all Virginians (right now we're focused on the LGBT Community).

Bob which secular philosophers are you most drawn too? When you say atheism could you expound on that? Are you drawn to secular humanism, rationalism, ect is there a way to define your direction in the absense of a personal deity? What have you learned both about politcs and the gay community since your recent political efforts?
