Ok, this was hard, but here's what I came up with and I know I left off some great players that I'm just not as familiar with and I freely admit that some of the ones I do have may be a little out of their normal position. But I think it works.
I like the 4-4-2 set-up: Lev Yashin Paolo Maldini-----Franco Baresi-----Cafu-----Roberto Carlos Ruud Gullit---Franz Beckenbauer---Lothar Matthaus---Bobby Charlton Pele---Maradonna On the bench: Zinedine Zidane Peter Schmeichel Gabriel Batistuta Roberto Baggio Stanley Matthews Ronaldinho Robinho Ronaldo I'm going to bed now and will no doubt be second-guessing myself for the next 2 hours!

OK, I've been thinking about this since last night (curse you Jaiket!) and decided to draw up my starting 11 from current players. Still, not as easy task and many great players left off, but here it is and went with a 4-3-3 formation this time:
Buffon -GK Cafu --- Yobo---Terry---Stalteri <-token CONCACAF player hehe Kaka----Ballack----Gerrard Drogba---Ronaldinho---Henry Others I really wanted to include: Eto'o Mahdavikia Totti (if he didn't have a broken leg)
