I recently had the " urge " , so to speak , to learn Hebrew. I was wondering if there is any web sites that I can check out that will teach me how to speak Hebrew , and if not , is there any books out there on the subject. If I am in the wrong forum to be asking this question, I aplogize.

It's a VERY basic intro, aleph bet and a couple words and phrases, but it teaches you how to teach yourself - sort of. It doesn't go into grammar like a fluent speaker knows, but it should get you started After that course, just contact a local Shul, they offer classes to Jews, you might be able to get them to teach you for $$ since you're not a Jew. |

I speak two languages now, and a little (ok maybe tiny bit ) of two more and I can tell you from personal experience trying to learn a whole language with a high degree of proficiency on the net or from a book without human interaction is a tough tough game. Besides, you will get an insight to a religion that Jesus and Paul both studied as a bonus!! ![]() |
