Default 'Jew' or 'Jewish'?

This may seem like a ridiculous question, so forgive me.

If it is used without malice, is it still considered disrespectful to refer to someone as a 'Jew '?

...Depends on if the person is a Jew or not...

If they are a Jew, then it wouldn't be disrespectful...

If they aren't a Jew, then ...well I suppose that could be taken in a different way...

Unfortunately, I have heard people use the word "Jew" in a derogative manner.

As in, "You're such a Jew," or "That's so Jewish."
The fad never caught on in my school, thankfully, but I have heard the popularity of it in others'.

No, I would never use it like that.
