While I may not agree with his politics I still urge all Jews to say tehillim for him and his family.

i second that
while i too didn't always agree w/ his policies i believe he had the best interest of the state and israel's security in mind, and the recent violence in Gaza, i think, has proven that.

Sharon, despite his checkered past, seemed to be leading Israel, all kicking and screaming, on a path of reconciliation and peace with the "Palestinians." From the little I know of Israeli politics there is no-one of his status and influence to replace him.

This man did more than he said so I have a lot of respect for Sharon. Peace be with him.

Who's next in line in the Kadima? Shalom? Perhaps Likud will gain in size? Natenyahu?
I pray for Sharon. He has done service to Israel. |

Still hangin in there! JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A new scan of Ariel Sharon's brain showed no further bleeding on Saturday following an emergency operation after the Israeli prime minister suffered a massive stroke, an Israeli news Web site reported. Maariv newspaper's NRG Web site cited doctors saying that the brain scan found no sign of the hemorrhaging or intense cranial pressure that led to Friday's five-hour surgery. The results appeared to match those of an initial post-surgical brain scan that doctors said indicated no active bleeding and showed "significant improvement" for Sharon. Doctors at the hospital where Sharon, 77, lay in critical but stable condition said earlier it could be days before they knew how much damage he had suffered. But medical experts believe that if he survives it is extremely unlikely he will ever return to work. An official determination on Sharon's condition was expected in coming days after doctors wean him off drugs that have kept him in an induced coma. Results of the latest brain scan were expected to be released at a news briefing at 6 p.m. (1600 GMT).
