Default Hebrew roots

I'm looking for a complete list of the three letter roots for hebrew words. I know that most hebrew words are based off of a 3 letter root system and just wondering if there was a list somewhere on the web someone knew about...i've looked around w/ no luck.

No list I know of, but I can ask in Hebrew class tomorrow if you'd like. If you're looking for a specific root of a word, I could help, but I can't find any online lists off hand.

thanks standing....i'm just having some fun in my beginning hebrew class and was looking to find the meanings of my name if i were to transfer the spelling into hebrew...i know my middle name is the root word for "man" since it's Adams, but having a little be harder time trying to figure out my first and last name....for my first name the best i can come up with is the letters He-Aleph-Fe but my last name is a little harder, it's Coon but in hebrew i could write it Kaf-Aleph-Nun or Kaf-Vav-Nun to give it that "oo" sound. And i know putting one letter different in the root changes the whole meaning all together.
Any help you can offer would be great!

Hmm. It doesn't sound like any Hebrew name I know of...it's not a shortening of Cohen, is it? And what would your first name be, if you don't mind telling me? Anyway, I'll ask today.

Well Coon isn't but the last name "Kuhn" is and i think that's the way it was spelled when my family came here from eastern europe generations ago. My first name is Huff (which is actually an english surname).
Trust me Standing there is nothing hebrew about any part of my name
Maybe Coon was Cohen long ago....i honestly don't know
I'm just having a bit of fun w/ the language

הוף קון

Dunno if that'll show up, but that's how I'd spell it, anyway...I'm still not sure what the closest thing in Hebrew would be, so good luck to you finding it.

So you're taking Hebrew then? Very cool Have fun with it, it's a nifty language.
