All people, regardless of ethnicity, should play a democratic role in society and be inclusive of deciding it's policies and laws. So yes "foreigners" (citizens) have a right to have an opinion.
However,for British Muslims to have SEPARATE governing laws is a recipe to encourage segregation and apartheid.

Johnny can hold whatever opinion he likes, it is my opinion that if you move to a foreign country then you should live by that countries already established laws.

I don't live in Britain and I think this matter completely belongs to the British people, I have no say in it but speaking about the Islamic Shri'ah the way you did strikes me. The purpose of God's Shari'ah is to implement justice and the best interest for the society. Describing the rules and orders in the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah as man made is something I don't understand. To say that Islamic Shari'ah leads to oppression of women is something I don't really understand. Personally, I want to live until I see the Islamic Shari'ah being implemented in all the Muslim countries as it's our only way to justice, freedom and prosperity. Extracting laws from East and West that don't suit our roots, identity and culture as we see in the majority of Muslim countries is one of the causes of backwardness that Muslims live in now.
Ah, when was prohibition of driving cars by women a part of Islamic Shari'ah?

Or to escape living under the secular dictatorship which is the case in MOST of the "Muslim" countries where Islamicists are being jailed, banned, tortured and killed.

i can see your point and your concern, and i would like to discuss this further, but this is the Muslim DIR so i shouldn't contribute further to the discussion in here. i was just posting another article of interest.
