Haven't been here for a while, and was refreshed to read such a dialogue. You expressed yourself well, and it was a funny contrast to see his vehement attack and attempt at actually persuading you to reconsider your spiritual path.

Not like anyone of us sister; do you know why? because too simply he was chosen to be a Prophet of God, and the chosen people are always not like others. The prophets can never be like other people, yes they are human beings but they are better than us. They are in fact the best of people and that's why they were chosen. Prophets are guided by Allah during all their lives. Since Allah had chosen them to be His prophets then they are our teachers from whom we learn.

I agree with you sister , peace , The prophets of allah are their chosen servants , no one can claim to love allah without loving his messengers, no one can claim to obey allah without obeying them and following their footsteps ,
Allah chosen them to teach us and be our perfect models , we can't just turn away from them ,claim that we understand anything more than they did ,
Allah praised them in many of his verses , and raised some of them over others

[2:253]" Those Messengers We endowed with gifts, some above others..."

we don't worship prophet muhammd (pbuh) ,dear grace , Muhammad (pbuh) is no more than a human being and a slave of allah .., however, he is not like any of us ,
he is the beloved of allah , the seal of prophethood , and the most pious and knowing human being ever ,
we "as muslims " are not free to criticize him , we 100% trust his reliability , honesty ,and piety . otherwise , we can't claim to be muslims. his love is an integral part of our faith.

[33;45] O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner, [46] And as one who invites to Allah's (Grace) by His leave, and as a Lamp spreading Light.


[33:56] Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.

[33:57] Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger, Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.


[3: 31] Say: "If ye do love Allah, follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful


[3:164] Allah did confer a great favour on the Believers when He sent among them a Messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while before that, they had been in manifest error.

alhamdulillah the sister's faith has been strenghtened by talking to a critic of islam
