Default Increase our Iman

Iman increase and decrease… We should try always to be like those muslims:

8:2 They only are the (true) believers whose hearts feel fear when Allah is mentioned, and when the revelations of Allah are recited unto them they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord

So, I hope that every muslim tell us things that increase our Iman…

And I will start

Every thing in this life indicate the powerful of Allah…. The Sun…. When we think about it… our iman increase.

The Sun everyday shine at precise time… If it was more near to us, we will die and if it was far of us more little, we will die also… We will not find what to eat.

So, The sun is created by precise laws to give us its beauty…. It is too far.. but it is one of the most important things to our life… We can't catch it but also we can't live without it… SubhanAllah.

14:33 And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night and the day

36:38 And the sun runneth on unto a resting place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise

See you soon In sha'Allah

Mo ~ thank you for this thread, brother.

something that always increases my iman is simply looking at the sky, the cloud formations, the colors of sunset or sunrise, the birds in flight. if anything can give pause and cause one to think "there may be something greater and more wonderful in the universe beyond what i can imagine", it's considering the expanse of the sky and the universe beyond it.

Do you not see that God drives the clouds, then He gathers them together, then He piles them upon each other, then you see the soft rain coming out of them? And He sends down hail from the sky from the mountains to afflict whomever He wills, and He diverts it from whomever He wills, the brightness of the snow almost blinds the eyes. 24:43

The part of the ayat about the brightness of snow blinding one's sight is almost proof unto itself that Muhammad (saW) was guided by Allah. Think about it....how would he know what snow does or looks like? There are people in california who have never seen it, imagine the people of the arabian peninsula! How could he know that a whole bunch of white snow is blinding when sunlight hits it, being in a desert?

The increase of iman comes also from the practice of amilus-salihat. Salaat, dhikr, qirat, sadaqah, saum, are not ends unto themselves but the means to the ends. I think of iman like a fragile castle (contradiction in terms yes I know). Around it are my walls. The walls are all my good deeds, the fara'idh and the sunnah. Constantly they are under siege, so the walls must always be refortified. Never can they be left to stand without support. If I do not do the upkeep of the walls, they will fall. One by one until my caslte is exposed. An exposed castle is open to be stormed without resistance.

I hope that made sense. Anyway that is how I envision iman to be. I guess that's an intersting question. Does anyone else have a image of their iman in mind?

Anyway Allah tells us in quran to ponder over His creation. Subhanallah, has He ever given us a task. For as long as mankind has been upon the face of the earth, he has not pondered over Allah's creation in any significant manner. We have not uncovered the knowledge at the depths of the ocean, nor the core of the earth, nor the land upon which we sit. We have not figured out space, and cannot fathom its distances. The human body all of us possess never ceases to amaze, we have not covered that ground. Allah is truly akbar, sovereign over all of it, He is al Warith- supreme inheritor of it all. Allah is Al-Bari the evolver. Once Allah brings a thing into existance it is He who progresses it from one level of existance to another until it reaches the best forms. To Allah belongs the night and the day. He is the creator of life and death and it does not affect Him. He has created and maintains time, yet it has no effect upon Allah. Who can sum up the greatness of Allah better than Allah Himself when He says:

255. Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursîextends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great (ayatul-kursi)

yes. i find salat to be a great mercy, a beautiful way of connecting with God. absolutely, salat itself also increases iman- being able to praise and remember God unveils for us something of the truth of His existence and presence. ina Allah hu akbar.

There is no school without teachers...

God sent prophets to guide us to him

(33:21) Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.

a beautiful pattern... Yes, He is a beautiful pattern to other people who wish to worship Allah.

God guide us, How to worship him?

If God left us to decide how to worship him... Some people will not marry,We want to spend all time in praying only... others will not sleep... others will do things over than their energy... So, God guided us because HE love us.

(1:6) Show us the straight way, (1:7) The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray

We should do good things and back to Allah today before tomorrow and now before after... We should understand our God words:

Sura 39

53. Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
54. "Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped.
55. "And follow the best of (the courses) revealed to you from your Lord, before the Penalty comes on you - of a sudden while ye perceive not!-
56. "Lest the soul should (then) say: 'Ah! Woe is me!- In that I neglected (my duty) towards Allah, and was but among those who mocked!'-
57. "Or (lest) it should say: 'If only Allah had guided me, I should certainly have been among the righteous!'- 58. "Or (lest) it should say when it (actually) sees the penalty: 'If only I had another chance, I should certainly be among those who do good!'

Let us all begin now to do good things and leave bad things and if you fall speedily back to our God.

Allah bless you all.
