I remember when I first joind RF, I thought I will just face the same experience again, but actually, I found RFers really great people than what I thought.. It's really a great achievment that you got people here to respect what you believe in(not meaning that people here aren't respectful)...Finally, we are able to find others who understand what we wanna really say, and feel it as well.. Finding people who are asking silly questions is quit common to all other faiths, the point is to treat those people as they are really ignorant of what your faith is all about...That's when your life here will become more peacfull and nice ![]()

i like the topics started by paul and victor although i sometimes feel i don't have enough knowledge to share , but at least it encourages me to improve my knowlege about my religion when i see a non muslim who asks such deep questions , unfortunately i don't feel the urge to gain much knowledge to prove that hijab is not oppressive ,and that prophet Muhammed (pbuh) was not a pedophile , it's easy and we are accustomed to it i hope the questions of non muslims will become a challenge for us , i hope they will make me feel ignorant of my religion and that i still have a lot to learn , and not that superficial and repeated ![]() it's not only the topics that bother me, but also the disrespectful comments that always get my bad temper switched on i don't expect every one to believe in what i believe , but it will be nice if they at least show respect

Why does Islam oppress women with the Hijab?
![]() Uh oh better get out of here! Run away! Run away! I don't know enough about Islam, and this thread has inspired me... I'm going to have to make some *good* questions for y'all ![]()

I feel the first one or two answers that are given to a silly question are the most important. While I don't ask many questions or interact I do check the question threads. I read the first few responses before the ******* match begins and then don't go further. If I want to know about Islam I ask a Muslim. I don't take anyone's word for it but a Muslim. So when I hear silly things like your prophet was a pedifile I'll ask about it. I accept the answer and move on. Too many people play gotcha games. They pose innocent questions just to get the troll ball rolling.

Some ways in which the questions are worded make it sound like the poster is being critical and not just curious. It's a shame the way people jump to conclusions when they don't even know what they're talking about in the first place. ![]()

I think these questions are good, even when they have a negative spine on them... It opens doors to do something productive... as long as you remember that you’re not the one who eventually makes someone understand and accept the truth... so like with all things, what we do with questions like these… is respond to them with patience and wisdom…
