Did Muhammad Live Up to the Test?

Khadijah said: "Rejoice! By God, I was certain that God would bring you only what is good. I certainly hope that you are the Prophet of this nation."

She continued to encourage him until he relaxed and ate. She then went to her cousin, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who reassured her. He promised her most solemnly that if Muhammad was truly the Prophet who is mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel, "and he calls people to believe in his message while I am still alive, I will do my best in obedience to God's Messenger and will support him to the end."

There are several reports about the encouragement Waraqah gave to Khadijah and the Prophet. If we take them together, there were probably two or three meetings between the Prophet and Waraqah, one of which occurred when they met at the Ka`bah as both of them were doing the tawaf, or the circumambulation around the Ka`bah.

Waraqah reassured Muhammad and kissed his head.

Q: How does one celebrate and have fun in Islam?

A: it is important to remember that Islam is not just a religion, but a complete way of life. It covers every aspect of our lives. Our lives are made up of very ordinary days, but they are also filled with days of sadness and days of great rejoicing, and Islam has something to say and something to contribute to all of this. However we feel, Islam helps us. Whatever we think, Islam informs our thinking.

It is most important to laugh and joke, then, and to show the world that Islam brings great happiness to our lives. It is not a faith of sin and punishment, but one of total hope in the mercy and the greatness of Allah.

All That Glitters Is Not Gold

Contrary to what some people believe, attaining a higher degree of spirituality does not have to be through renouncing material wealth.

It can be a blessing for one to be rich, but it is important to note that this blessing doubles when the material wealth is used in such a way that the person grows spiritually and this is what Islam teaches

Accepting Allah in Our Lives

Submit your life to Him and be calm. Make your motto of life La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah).

By this motto, you testify to your incapacity as a creature provided with limited faculties. You testify that everything in the universe belongs to Him and whatever He wants will come to pass in the way and the time He wants.

The Origin of Life - an Islamic Perspective

Science must increase our faith. It is wrong for anyone to close their eyes to what is right in front of them.

For a Muslim the evidence of dinosaurs and fossils is not a threat to our beliefs. Rather, it is a confirmation of the power of Allah.

Visit Hard To Forget

A Young Muslim Woman Visits the Prophet's Mosque

Although I visited Madinah so many times, I still feel the very same happiness I felt the first time I went there. The feeling of serenity overfills me every time.

Although Madinah has witnessed its fair share of modernization, it still hasn't lost its spirit of peace and tranquility. And no wonder, as it is the city to which Prophet Muhammad migrated 1400 years ago, lived in, and is buried in.

As I sit in Prophet Muhammad's mosque or wander in the streets of Madinah, a thought always strikes me: could I be stepping on the ground that the Prophet's feet once touched? Could I be sitting in a place that Prophet Muhammad once sat in?

Being Muslim in the Big Leagues

Ryan Harris, the player in the Denver Broncos, reverted to Islam at the young age of eight when he was taught about Islam in the social studies class.

Being born into a Unitarian family made him find similarities between Islam and his original belief.
"I was in the social studies class and the teacher was talking about Islam. It really cloned to me, the foundations of peace and understanding. It may not be for other people and that's fine," Harris says.

Now, Harris is thinking of pursuing a career in politics, which he thinks is a great platform that affects a lot of peoples' lives.
